PS3 Motion Controller
By: Ryan
Not to be left out PS3 has developed and plans to introduce their own motion tracking system. The look and feel mostly resembles the Wii-mote but the virtual interaction is going to be a little different. The graphics are a step up from the Wii since the console itself is more powerful.
In order to interact and move around in the virtual world it mostly resembles the Project Natal with you actually moving back and forth, but you do have a controller and buttons to hit. Such as pull the trigger on a gun, or control the amount of pressure you are using on a canvas.
The examples they talk about are circling troops and creating their movement path using the lasso tool. This can also be incorporated in sports games by creating routes and paths for characters to follow. The level of detail and accuracy put into this is astounding as they have gotten this down to millimeter of accuracy while still being incredibly smooth.
But once again I think the best way to show off the amazing things that are being produced is to just see a video of it. Ignore the poor narration and try and focus on the awesomeness.
